January 2011

We have had an exciting month of January. Baylee has started to be so much fun. She laughs, plays, and moves around. She is thinking about crawling. She scoots around in a circle on her arms.

New Years Eve. We went to stay at Mim and Pipi's house. Brad and April had gone to Vegas so the kids were at my moms. We went to hang out with them. The morning of New Year's Day is when Baylee began acting like she didn't feel well. It seemed to get progressively worse and by that evening it was obvious that Baylee was sick. Then, on Monday we went to the doctor to find out that she had the flu! 1 week before she was supposed to get the flu vaccine. What bad luck! It was miserable!

On January 8th, it was a cold day, so Baylee dressed up in her warm monster suit! Aww too cute!

On January 17th, I had a day off so Baylee and I went to visit Mim at her school. Baylee was in such a good mood and looked so cute.

Baylee turned 7 months old on January 19th. I can't believe it! She was so cute sitting up with the blocks. I have been bad and not gotten a few months. But, I will make to sure to get her picture every month now. She is just growing and changing so much right now!

We went to a Penguin Pajama Playdate on January 21st. It was hosted by my friend from college Michelle Smith. It was so fun. Michelle gave the kids a precious book called Your Personal Penguin. It was so sweet. Here are the few pictures I got before my camera went dead.

On January 29th, the temperature was 70 degrees. It was a beautiful day! So, Eric decided the best thing to do was go to the zoo! Eric loves the zoo and I have the feeling we will be taking Baylee there alot! I think Baylee's favorite part was the stuffed animals in the gift shop! ha! She had a great time though!

Notice how Baylee is sitting up in her stroller now. She is no longer having to sit in the carrier! Growing up too fast!

Baylee's 6 month appointment

So, Baylee had her 6 month appointment on Friday. Yes, it was over a month late! It was scheduled for the beginning of January, but had to be rescheduled when she had the flu!

Baylee's 6 months stats at 7 months:

Weight: 15 pounds 13 ounces
Height: 27 inches (75th percentile) She's a tall girl! :)

Baylee is meeting all the doctor's expectations. She is sitting up and bearing weight on her legs. She is reaching for cups. She has begun raising arms to be picked up and reach for me and daddy.

Baylee loves bouncing in her jumper. She just plays with all the toys and bounces. She smiles the whole time she is in there.

She has starting exploring a sippy cup. I got her one yesterday and she likes playing with it and chewing on it. I am sure if she realizes that she will get something out of it if she sucked on it. ha!

My baby is 6 months old!

Baylee turned six months old on December 19, 2010. It is hard to believe that my baby is half a year old! I can't believe that I am already having to research first birthday party stuff! WOW! Time truly flies by!

These six months have been the greatest and most blessed six months ever. Eric and I have had such a blessed life together. We love each other so deeply, we are each other's best friends, and we rely on each other at all times! But, having our beautiful baby together has just strengthened our love and relationship so much (didn't know it was possible!).

We have watched Baylee grow and change so much over the past six months. She was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. She was so tiny and so sweet and we were instantly in complete love.

Baylee is eating baby foods now. We have tried most of the veggies so far. She likes the orange veggies. Not as big of a fan of the green veggies----she hates peas! Peas make her gag every time I try. We recently tried bananas and apples. She seems to like them somewhat! She seems to like the veggies more. Going to try some more fruits soon. (getting the flu slowed up that process!)

Baylee has begun sitting up. As a matter of fact, Baylee decided to sit up on Christmas Eve in order to facilitate opening presents! What a smart girl! :) She really enjoyed opening her christmas presents. Well, really she just wanted to eat the paper! ha!

Baylee just suffered through the flu! She was sick for about 7 days with a fever for 5 days! It was miserable for her (and mommy and daddy!). We are very glad to kiss her little head with absolutely no heat! It was so hard to hold her and feel that heat coming from her and knowing how it was making her feel.

I can't wait to see what the next six months will bring. Some more milestones are coming (teeth, crawling) and I can't wait to watch my baby girl grow!!
